Febuary Mayhem ... Catch up post

I have  dissappeared off the face of the earth this February.  I said in January that I was going to sit down and schedule  blog posts but I never did quite  find a time to  do that.

So what has happened this month.

Mum and myself got the keys to our new home. So fourteen years (the longest I have lived anywhere) worth of memories got packed up in boxes and moved over town. Luckily it wasn't a big move.

I am a waitress so I didn't celebrate valentines day on the 14th. Me and Rich did however have a lovely meal at Petit delight. Where I sampled frogs legs for the first time. I like trying new food.

What I wore. Sorry it's a mirror shot.

I have been so excited for my first blogger meet. I am going to Hull on the 5th of March to meet some bloggers around 20 of them in fact. I am looking forward to this as I have been desperately trying to make more friends in the blogging community.

The rest of this month has been unpacking boxes working and adjusting to living the opposite end of town.

I am hoping now to stay on top of my blog. However I am not going to be so tough on myself if I have gaps. We all have lives outside our blogs.

Sorry for such an offloading blog hopefully it will go back to normal next week.

Until next time xoxo

Quick fire Questions

So here are my answers to 10 quick fire questions.

1) 3 things you can not leave the house without?
At the minute the weather is awful and my hands get dry so I never leave the house without it. My perfume I'm wearing that day and my mascara. sometimes I don't have time in the morning.

2) favourite brand of makeup?
At this moment in time it is Bourjois.
I love the scent of there product also the quality for drugstore is amazing.

3) favourite Item of makeup?
This palate is great I use it to fill in my brows for smoky eyes but also as night time looks and eyeliner.

4) Favourite clothing store?
New look or Topshop depending on what items I'm looking for.

5) Heels or flats.
boot heels they are so comfy to walk in and give me a little more height.

6) Monochrome or colourful?
I use to wear only black but I have been injecting some colour into my wardrobe lately.

7) Favourite moisturizer?
Clinique dramatically different moisturiser.

8) Bad beauty habits?
I do not clean my brushes enough they are well loved but I need a better routine to clean them.

9) Top of your wish list ?
It's a draw between bond girl lipstick and sculpting powder.

                             10) What makeup do you wish you could do?
Other than contouring properly I wish I was better at eye make up.

Thanks again for taking your time to read this.
Please tell me your answers in the comments.

7 sins of beauty

This beauty tag has been floating around so I thought I would join in.

                                                                     1) Greed- The most expensive products.

I bought this foundation  after having my make up applied at the benefit stand. This foundation when applied correctly looks amazing and makes my skin feel amazing However I think I was matched when I had a tan. This foundation costs £26.50.

This palette is gorgeous. The shadows are soft and wear well on the lid. It was not a cheap product but worth the £14.99 price tag.

Clarins Lip oil £18. This oil rescues my lift this is my most recent purchase and I have fallen in love with it.

2) Wrath - Love hate relationship

Contour. Some days I can sculpt my face exactly how I want it, other days this product does not want to play ball and blending and sculpting just doesn't seem worth it.

3)Sloth - neglected products.
I always skip priming this is one step in my routine I have never taken to. I don't think I have found the right product for my skin type.

4) Pride.
When my base is perfect my brows are done and my lashes are long.

5)Gluttony.
I have too many lipsticks, way too many. The other thing is that they are all similar shades. I just can't stop buying them though.

6) Lust
Haven't we all been lusting after Charlotte Tilbury?
There are two products I would love to receive or buy. One being Bond Girl lipstick the other being light wonder foundation. I know I have heard so much rave reviews of the magic foundation but it will not suit my skin type.

7) Envy.
Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder. Watching tutorials with this product makes me want it even more.

That was my seven sins of beauty.
Why don't you share yours in the comments ?
Thanks for reading until next time xoxo

Failed already ... New year resolutions

This blog is late. New years resolution failed (again)  although I have been busy, jotting down lots of ideas and taking photos for blogs to come. Also I think I may start block writing blogs and scheduling there uploads. This may help with my blog as well. It will mean constant upload on regular days, rather than sporadically placed uploads.

Other updates on my new year resolutions. I have been eating a bit better. Except a few takeaways at the weekends oops. Dominoes should definitely stop sending me offers. I have signed up for the gym and classes are definitely needed. My fitness is worse than I thought. Healthy eating though has been fun. Experimenting with different flavours and putting my own spin on recipes. I have loved looking at Get the Glow by Madeleine Shaw, as it is more about lifestyle rather than eating super strict diet.

Spanish well this is my biggest fail so far. My progression is not going well. I will however be downloading lessons on to my phone and listen and learn when I'm free. this will most likely be on the way to work or just before bed or in the bath.

Things I have been doing are last years resolutions. I have been working on learning my guitar. I think Rich will be happy as he bought me it last year and was not happy with the dusty guitar he saw on boxing day. English I have been brushing up on the basics. Grammar and punctuation are definitely not my strong point. Writing this blog though means trying harder at sentence structure and quality of the writing I publish.

That's all for now I think.

Thanks for taking your time to read this.
                                            Until next time  xoxo

Marples

So last week to celebrate my friends birthday we decided to go for breakfast. For a few months I have been reccomended Marples and have never been so I took the chance that day. Unfortunately it was a bit of a cloudy and dreary day. Although the resteraunt was warm and inviting.
We decided to sit in the booth down stairs. The atmosphere was cosy with music playing and the view of the beach even though it was raining.
We quickly both decided that we were going to order the full english which comes with a juice or tea. Although I ordered both. The drinks arrived promptly. The honey tea was delicous.

Full english with an extra egg.
These pictures are making me hungry.

The full breakfast came with two slices of toast which you could choose between white or brown.
Rashers of bacon, a sausage, hash brown, mushrooms, beans, grilled tomato and an egg even though we both added another egg.
We slowly tucked into our lovely breakfast catching up and talking through the plans of the day. Although we didn't finish the breakfast it tasted so good and was great value for money.

During the summer Marples extends their seating outdoor. This would be lovely to sit out and enjoy the sunshine with breakfast or lunch. Now I have tried breakfast at Marples I know I will be back to have it again but also to try their evening meals.

Where is your favourite place for breakfast?
What is your favourite breakfast?

Thanks for reading my blog post.
See you again next week.
Until then xox

Friendship appreciation

So it's not often I write a post about a person but this girl definitely deserves a mention.
I have been best friends with Stacie since I was 11 that is a grand total of 12 years. We have had a few ups and downs over these years but she is like a sister always there.

New Year Goals

So it has nearly been a month since I wrote a blog post. I am totally out of touch. I also want to try and explain but not make excuses. First of all I lost my blogging mojo I was reading a lot of great blogs and comparing mine which meant I didn't want to write for a while. Secondly I work in catering this means over christmas fewer days off and on my days off I just wanted to see my family. So as you see a month has just flown by.

I just wanted to thank people for reading or finding my little corner of the internet in 2015. I have loved writting little snippets of my year and reviews of new products. I hope you have enjoyed reading.

What I aim to do in 2016 is to blog once a week or so and keep my blog going. This means stop comparing myself to others and enjoy what I am doing.

My new years resolutions are to get healthier and learn spanish so expect updates on these on the blog.

I've had such fun in 2015 and I hope to have an even better 2016.

So from me to you happy new year and I will see you in 2016.
