We stayed in a hostel (Keystone House) right near Kings Cross so travel was easy using trains and the underground to access everywhere we wanted to see.
On the first day we did a whistle stop tour of all the tourist spots.
Leicester Square to see the screens for the first time :)
Trafalgar Square to see the fountains and Lions some one obviously had a lot of fun with bubbles.
This is me and Rich outside the National Gallery. We then took a short walk to find Big Ben and the London Eye.
Although this was our one gloomy day in London we decided to go on the London Eye which I'm glad about as the views were amazing.
After getting off the London eye we carried on our walk by the river. Due to it being half term there were a lot of street performers which we stopped and enjoyed.
Later that evening we stopped at Jamie's Diner for dinner which i would reccomend to anyone.
Their cocktails were amazing and i loved the little details like the fruit paper straw and jam jar glasses.
I chose the veggie burger and 'slaw with a side of sweet potato fries whilst Rich went for the ribs. The food was seasoned to perfection and well worth the money.
The next day we knew we had tickets for Les Mis in the evening so decided to spend a very sunny day in Camden.
Later that evening was Les Mis. We were lucky enough to have booked in advance and bought seats near the stage. Even if you are not into musicals i would say Les Mis would change your mind; it was fantastic.
After we found Chinatown to have some food. I was greatful as it had been a really long day. I was also proud of myself for using chopsticks for the first time with only a little spill of sauce down my white dress.
In chinatown height difference problems.
View of the theatre.
On Wednesday we took a day out of London to visit family.
Thursday we were pretty worn out. We took a nice trip to see St. Paul's Cathedral and walked round the grounds. We also enjoyed the weather as the sun was shining; a complete shock for England.
Later that day we went to the 02 for the purpose of the trip - Fleetwood Mac - the arena was amazing and packed out. The gig was 3 hours of Fleetwood Mac and amazing (as expected) .
View from our seats.
That was a quick round up of our trip.
I thought it would be a nice way to start my blog.
Thanks for reading.
Until next time ......
