On a dreary day like this Wednesday there is nothing like having plans with your bestie. Having looked at some of the places we haven't tried around Cleethorpes the list started with People bar and kitchen and we booked ourselves in.
This little gem is planted at the bottom of sea view street and could be easily missed as this small bar/resteraunt can only comfortably seat 15 to 18 people.
After chatting over a nice glass of white Stacie and I chose to have the sharing platter. On the plateer you choose two options out of three from cheese, meat and fish. We chose meat and cheese.
The platter itself.
The venison and spicy cheese were amazing. This platter is amazing just as a light graze for lunch with different breads from a french deli and dips and relishes it gives the pallet lots of tastes and is best served with wine and a friend to natter with.
The bar is quaint with a very minamal design which i loved. The exposed brick and comfy window seat make you feel right at home.
After our platter and wine we were persuaded (easily) buy the waitress to try the cakes. Stacie went for the peanut cookie and i went for the brownie. The waitress was lovely telling us that the cakes were made by a woman who is celiac so all the cakes are gluten free so slightly less naughty.
The People bar is definitely somewhere i would try again but it is definitely somewhere to book in and avoid at the busiest times as i imagine it being quite crammed.
Just a short sweet blog for just now.
Until next time ...x
